    Have not seen the owl, but last summer, there was a flock of about 6 or so PELICANS on the Ohio River near Cannelton. We watched them float down the river, and the lock operators opened the lock gates to let them through. We did get a couple of pics, I will have to see if I can find them.......

    Keep tabs on him, he may come back to the area every winter. In the 70's and early 80's a Snowy Owl would come to my Uncles farm outside of Logansport on the Wabash to spend the entire winter. It is very rare that they migrate so far South for winter.

    The snowy owl was still at the airport today, keeping an eye on all the bird paparazzi's.

    Many years ago, traveling a country road in Cass County late at night, a huge white owl drifted across the road in front of me. It was one of the coolest sights ever.

    A little off topic but not really... Took this picture of a falcon eating a little black bird in the parking lot at Wal-Mart in Greenfield yesterday around 16:45.
