I read a lot of posts that I don't comment on. I don't think it has anything to do with what I think of the OP, but rather if I have something to add to the discussion.

Same here. One thing I like about a couple of other vBulletin boards I'm on is they don't display people's post count. Doing so takes a lot of elitism out of some people.

I should add that the system seems to do batch updates on the "views", but it updates comments immediately. Initially threads will have one more view than comments until the batch runs and updates the views.
