I always kinda wanted a 'cowboy' set-up, like a Colt Peacemaker / Winchester lever both case-hardened, with a nice tooled-leather western rig and a tooled-leather scabbard. But every time I've taken a serious step to putting it together, I always wonder what else I could do with $5,000+? And I don't have a horse any more, so where am I gonna wear it? Walk around and OC @ Chipotle's? :lmfao:

So, maybe a couple .357 stainless snubbies to keep around the house.

The list (that has thankfully dwindled a little bit) that I've got in the works for the next year or so (some will be acquired out of sequence if a good deal comes along) is as follows:

    Remington 870 12ga 18.5" barrel (older model)
    Glock 42
    NAA mini-revolver (22mag/22lr)
1942 Mosin Nagant (in pristine condition with a hex receiver)
    AK

The only gun I really wanted to pick up this year was the GP100 Match Champion, and I got it already. I was kicking around a varmint rifle, and got that already. There's nothing else I'm really eyeballing, but the Sig 556XI might be interesting if I can get one in person and feel her up.

My wish list is more toward modifications now.

    1) Scope for the Ruger American
    2) Good fiber optic sights for 10-22 takedown
    3) Different grip for GP100 MC, and possibly have it cut for moon clips. Still not sure on the moon clips.
    4) Restore the night sights on my Springfield 1911, they are old enough they've burnt out.
    5) Maybe a trigger job on my Security Six.

    Camby area
    Scoped M1a
    ultra compact 1911
Nice but not extravagant (Red Label, etc) O/U with both 12 and 20 barrels.
    Scoped 77/44 maybe?
    Bigger gun vault.
Complete reloading press setup with all relevant dies.
PMR30 (always wanted a WMR auto)

Honestly, if somebody dropped that all in my lap, Im not sure I could come up with anything else I truly wanted without getting silly. I have everything else I would ever need.

Right now, I'm thinking of adding another AR built on quality components. After that, I'm always a sucker for another 1911. The compact Springfield RO sure looks like something I'd be happy with. If the stars were to line up and I found an early M1911 (pre-A1), a Turnbull or UMC repro at the same time as the gun budget was flush, I would be sure to take it home.

Right now, I'm more thinking about selling than buying though. I've thought about letting the Scorpion go now that I have the nickel railed 1911 and the Witness 10mm has not been shot in over a year. Those might go when I see something that needs added to the collection. It's always good to have trading stock.
