Speaking of ranges, does anyone know of a range close to Princeton (private or public) to get some real distance? I have a .308, 178gr handloads, a 16 in steal plate but nowhere to use it at around here. I have only had a chance to take my rifle kinda far only a handful of times in the 2 years I have owned it. Shooting within 200 yards is getting pretty boring.

Try over at the gun range by Aurthur junction. Unfortunatley you're confined to 200 yrds there. If you want to pay membership dues try Red Brush down by Newburgh.

I always go to Sugarridge. I used to go every weekend until lately. I have thought about joining Red Brush but I have decided that it would not be worth it just because I wouldnt go there all that much.

Thats about all there is around here when you're wanting to go beyond the 200 yrd mark.
Unless you know a farmer or someone with property who will let you shoot on their property. I wish I had enough property to go out to 500 yrds plus.

I may know an area that a friend at work talked about but the farmer needs to harvest before I can even think about it.

Bad thing about living in the corn belt area. Have to deal with crops.
