    As a kid, I use to rock the Butch Wax that my grandpa gave me when I went with him to get a haircut (had to get one like his). Absolutely love the pictures of the cars, record players, kitchens, and TVs. Sure, products are more efficient and have many more options now but very few are nice to look at while not turned on.

    Among other things, we had a clock like the one pictured. I kinda remember it!
    It was above our basement fireplace, in between two matching candle sconces.
    Here's a screen shot from some 16mm film my dad always took around Christmas time.
    This would have been 1969;

    I used to have a subscription to Reminisce. It's a great magazine if you like these type of pictures.

    Finally figured out how I can get motivated to run more than a mile.

    Step 1 - Put on running shoes, etc.
    Step 2 - Give wife a copy of "The good wife's guide"
    Step 3 - Tell her that's how she needs to treat me from now on.
    Step 4 - Run like the wind.:runaway:

    Talk about haircuts...remember the pineapple? It was your whole head clipped except for your bangs! The guy I went to charged .50 cents for the cut and then put something smelly called "Picklejuice" on your head to make it smell good! Oh the good ole days!

    43 ain't as old as it was when my mom was that old

    I remember when my dad turned 40 and thinking how old that was, unfortunately I turned that a few years ago and now know how young that is :D.

    If I can just convince my wife to read that "good wife rules", ah the good old days :D

    when i was looking for a house to buy about 5 years ago, i looked at one that had a kitchen that was original to the '50s. it would have fit right in with those pictures. i felt as if i was in a tex avery "kitchen of tomorrow" cartoon. we didn't end up buying that house, but i did find that kitchen very appealing. the wife would have loved putting an apron over her dress and heels and fixing me dinner in that kitchen.
