    For hunting purposes, I'd go with a Ruger GP100 5" barrel from Davidson's...great feel, not too nose-heavy, nice weight + balance, and accuracy is fantastic...

    The Ruger GP100 is a rock-solid, reliable, stoudtly-built revolver that one cannot go wrong with.

    For personal carry purposes, I'd go with a 3" or 4"...I CC'd a 4" GP100 for a couple of years before I picked-up my 5-shot SP101, which I cc'd for 10+ years.

    If its strictly for around-the-house type revolver, I'd go with the 4" GP100...
