“Any public official who thinks it is the government’s role to pick winners and losers based on the color of their skin does not belong in public office,” AFL Executive Director and general counsel Gene Hamilton told The Post.

I think the redress for historic racial discrimination is to stop racially discriminating. Which means stoppit; all of it. You don't get to racially discriminate to make up for racial discrimination. I can see allowing those affected to sue for past discrimination, but there has to be some way to show what was materially lost, by whom, and show who caused it. Make only those who caused it pay for it.
