    Oh Brother.

I've now been retired for more years than I was on the job.

All those years running ghetto beats, running up and down fire escapes and across rooftops, jumping over walls, climbing over fences, couple of smashups during high-speed pursuits...my knees and hips are now on light duty status.

I can't run fast enough to get out of my own way.

You sound a bit jaded. I'm sure you touched more lives than you can imagine. I don't think I would like to be a beat cop. I tried that working for HUD and it wasn't my cup of tea.

Burned out, paranoid, touch of PTSD, but back in the day it was the most fun a grown man could have with his clothes on, at least until I was elected to the NRA Board and my superiors declared war on me.

    To quote Ernest Hemingway, "
There is no hunting like the hunting of man, and those who have hunted armed men long enough and liked it, never care for anything else thereafter."
