Didnt they just tear down part of the complex that was facing Keystone? or were their other improvements?

Next time you pass by the place take a looksie. The buildings actually look nice, and that's saying something. Now the residents, that's another story.

I don't have any neighbors unless you count the raccoons, deer and various other critters. I'll just shoot them if they become too militant.:)

Yeah...I'm keeping my eye on a racoon or two and a possum around my place...they've been causing a couple of problems, I think...I don't trust them...no sir, I don't trust them one little bit.

Yeah...I'm keeping my eye on a racoon or two ....

    That's racist.

(Wow. I went there. Well, it is the internet, after all.)

(No offense intended, GFGT. I'm actually trying to make fun of people who claim racism too much.)

(That might be too subtle of a point without all these parentheticals.)

I live just on the outskirts of Amish country. Not to many trouble makers here.

And that Amish mafia, hooligan stuff on TV is such a metric ton of complete tripe!

Well, as I travel through Chicago's South Side frequently, I suppose there's some 'chance'.

Near my home? Nah, folks just wouldn't tolerate it.

Well considering I had to go get fitted for riot gear, I'd say I have a 50/50 chance of getting involved in anything that happens in Napghanistan.

When Indy burns, the prevailing winds should carry the smoke away from me.

My only real concern is when I travel. I will be in DC most of next week. A riot would disrupt my plans a bit, and my go-bag will be a bit lighter than normal (thanks to Federal and Local laws).

Remington is a small rural farming community. Nothing gonna happen here except maybe on the TV news...

It does make for interesting watching, so let the idiots bring it...

I think we that are rural or gated or suburban become complacent in our "good" choice to be out of the fray. We are yet to see full scale, multi-city, summer heat rioting because it's the "cool" thing to do among the liberal/occupy/GF mask wearing sort of crowds. We do not yet know how that will affect ALL of us.

Neighborhood kids of all sorts are more and more frequently completely unsupervised with unlimited access to social media. Parents often don't get that until too late, if they get it at all. Heck, some "parents" actually lead the way to anarchy.
