Last night there was a very nice patriotic presentation in his honor. Public viewing and services were earlier today. He will be missed he was very giving to his community.

Indeed hard to be sad when one has a Life well lived. I would say that many country stars could learn a lot from him. No Offense Tim and Faith, but you will never be in the same league.

I considered his music to be "southern rock" along the lines of Skynyrd, Marshall Tucker, etc.. At least when I really was into him back in the late 70's, early 80's. He was the "anti-disco"!
