Well....I see you posted it up in the classifieds which I now believe was your intent from the start.

You were not completely honest in your ad which I am absolutely sure most of us already know.

    HHhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmm

Looks like I'm going to have to press that special button if I want to see what he has to say now. I'm very glad it's there. I remember a thread or two that ridiculed those of us that use this feature. Maybe they should take notice to this thread.

With the slide/barrel in battery with recoil spring pressure on them and they still rattle......that is loose.

It did have some movement (minimal) front to back while in battery but the side to side movement is where I think it was making the noise I heard.
I am going to take him a new recoil spring when I see him at Christmas and see if that will help the front to back movement, he has about 700 rounds through it so I doubt the spring is worn though.

I am sure you know how to check lock up. That will let it rattle a bit as well.
I had a Para that did this and required the .002 over pin to get it into lock up.

The lock up didn't seem to bad, and the bushing fit was OK.
I talked to him this morning and he said he talked to Ruger CS on Monday and they said to send it in, so when he gets it back we will see what they fixed.

OP was on line 20 hrs. ago.......Nada.

That folks do not think we read a lot of what goes on in here is pretty silly. Start a thread with this kind of response and then post up a faulty gun inn the classy's with no info as to the rattle or possible reasons.
If I drove an Hour to look at that gun and found that issue I would be beyond PO'd.
Besides, I can buy a brand new one for $9 more.......:):
