I know. It’s sad, I can’t believe someone who sits as a judge on the SCOTUS is so concerned with who’s president they’re willing to give up their last few years of life to prevent him replacing you.

I guess she didn’t realize after trump wins 2020 he’s going to replace her anyways... she should’ve enjoyed her last few years.

Trump, and the milquetoast republicans in the Senate, need to fast track the confirmation and appointment of a new justice. Take it away as an election issue. If that position is open on election day, the democrats, dead or alive, will come crawling out of the woodwork in historic numbers.

It's tricky business. A quick appointment may also mobilize lazy democrats, or may demoralize them so much that they just sit this one out and lay on the couch waiting for their next government handout check.
