Stayed for 10 days like the Mag Ban. Also, just like the Mag Ban, my crystal ball predicts the 9th Circuit will short-circuit en banc this one immediately just be able to continue the stay and concoct reasons to reverse Benitez. It's as certain as the Sun rises in the east every day. Both will have to go to SCOTUS to prevail. The majority of judges on the 9th Circuit have an unbridled hatred for Benitez and the current SCOTUS bench. If they could remove him, they would, and Governor Hair Gel is trying to find something -- anything -- to indict, charge and arrest Benitez for in the California courts, and hold him without bail. If he's rotting in prison, he cannot hold court. They were heading in that direction when he temporarily handcuffed the girl in his courtroom (wrongful imprisonment). They're desperate to perp walk him in front of national TV cameras.Remember the California market is ENORMOUS and the pent up demand will be a tidal wave.
No panic, just something to keep up on the radar.
I'm hoping there's an emergency appeal to SCOTUS to put a stop to the 9th Circuit's tantrums. Even if there's another Freedom Week, California will find a way to do what Illinois is doing . . . making anyone who took advantage of their Freedom Week instant felons when the injunctions are stayed.
