For those of you who have been following this here are some finished pictures. First is with iron sights (it will wear them most of the time) second is setup for deer season with a Leupold scope.

    Very Very nice.
    Did you not eFile?
It took 33 days from beginning to end...

Where did you track down decently priced ammo? I sold my 458 before I moved here because of that but I wouldnt mind doing an SBR...

As far as i've researched SBR and Silencer are legal as long as you have them in your possession legally and the caliber and case length are legal.
Supposedly that will change next year...
But someone more knowledgeable than I will come along and quote the actual law.

Very nice indeed. Big bore AR's are very fun to shoot. Once you try one you are hooked. We hunted with 450BM. Looking forward to the RR. We were amazed at the accuracy of 250gr Hornady 450BM.

I sighted it in a few weeks ago with the Leupold 2-7 on it. At 100 yards i had a 3 shot group of about 1.25" with SBR factory loaded ammo launching 300 grain Hornady bullets. It's a great handy little gun. Everyone i hunt with has become infatuated with it.

Nice. Infatuated is the word... I built my 450 in September, when a friend shot it he built 2. I was going to use the Ross Brake but needed a different style that Ross wouldn't build. Ross has a great reputation and claims to build whatever you want but he seems to be sticking to a few styles. There is a guy on ebxx that will build any custom brake. His turn-around time was about a week or two and the quality was 100%. He even fitted it to my bbl.

This gun completely changed my view on the 458 SOCOM. I had a 16" RRA mid-length upper a few years ago. I liked the round but wasn't 100% sold on the RRA upper; at the time they were the only real option around so i went with them. This gun is so much better than the RRA upper i had on this lower.

Does anyone know of a nice "Discreet" case for SBR's? This thing is 28" collapsed, so i am looking for something around 29 or 30 inches.
