The ACR may not have a reciprocating charging handle, but is not nearly in the same class as the SCAR.
Great rifle, I would love to shoot one -
Have you shot either of them? Or just going off Nut n Fancy reviews?

My wife saw the rifle tonight by accident. Tried to tell her I have had it for months. Her quote was "I am not mad, but I am not stupid."
Oh well....that bridge is crossed

sorry for the threadjack!
Lovely weapon. So i see Call of Duty MW2 got the best of ya.
Dude, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, take the $200 plus trust costs and SBR that sucker! Those SCARS just dont look right with a huge dopey barrel!
I prefer the long barrel on my 17S. I wouldn't use a .308 for CQB, only long range work... and the 17S is superbly accurate, match quality accuracy actually. I see no reason to risk screwing that up by cutting the barrel.Dude, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, take the $200 plus trust costs and SBR that sucker! Now, I'm seriously considering SBR'ing my 16S. It's just a matter of me getting around to it.
