To my knowledge it is made by some disgruntled ex kel-tec employees, and is essentially a p11 but redesigned to be "better".

I had one, shot it, got rid of it, not my style. I didn't care for the p11 either

I have a CPX-1 but haven't taken it to the range yet. It feels better than a P11, comes with 2 mags w/removable pinky extensions, and it has a stainless barrel and slide. At $205 NIB, I couldn't pass it up.

I looked at them a few years ago. I was told that some of the guys from KelTec left and went out on their own to build these. I wasn't impressed and bought a Bersa Thunder for the same price. The trigger on the Bersa is actually one of the smoothest triggers I've felt in a production, right off the shelf gun and we've never had any problems with it.....I've never heard anyone say that about the SKYY.

I just purchased a SCCY. Its a nice little gun; 50 rounds down range and I had no problems. I think I did pretty good for a 1st gun purchase. I paid a little over $250 for the CPX1 and around 200 rounds of mixed hollowpoints and full metal jacket target rounds.

I have never shot one but if I were you I would look into a Kel-Tec PF9. I shot a PF9 and was rather impressed. Very concealable and with some practice I think you would get pretty accurate with it. The one thing I was told was to shoot snap caps in it about 100 times and the trigger gets pretty smooth.
