Not that it makes a difference, unless an impeachment ends with a ban from ever again holding public office, but a pardon has no bearing on an impeachment.

This probably never happen, but I was thinking that if the Republicans came to Trump and informed him, hey... we have the votes to impeach you.. going by past history and what Nixon did, he would resign. Again, going by past history, when Nixon resigned, the VP, Gerald Ford, (who wasn't elected, he replaced Spiro Agnew upon his resignation), named his own VP. I guess unless the law to succession has been changed this would still be the case, the VP, Pence, now President could name his VP....How would Mitch Daniels sound to you all? Never happen, but I have wondered about it.

I think it more likely that Pence would be suicided before he could name a vice president and Princess Pelosi would become President.
She would name Hiliary as VP and promptly resign.
