No, obviously it means that if you don't have this gene
you are defective and should be summarily disposed of for the good of the country.
    Sort of a final solution.

Can't be cured, I'm sure it was a liberal who found this supposed gene in the first place. So they can either say the rest are wrong and or excuse their stupidity. ;)

Joking aside, I think there might be something to this.

I've been on a search for several years now, to find a liberal (by which I mean a socialist) who can sustain a deep political discussion without either getting angry and leaving, or without raising their voice and calling me names. Haven't found one yet.

I've often wondered if there isn't something biological or psychological that has to do with that belief system.

That gene must also be a logic inhibitor.

Most likely means that these folks have a loser interpretation of "morality" than folks with a more conservative view. I don't think it is literally tied to political party.

Oh. So basically these are like the folks who think Depression is a disease that can be cured by medicine? Gotcha.

:dunno:Makes sense to me. I've met two people who openly admitted they were socialist, and they both seemed to have mental AND physical issues. I'm sure I've met more socialists, but these two openly admitted it, and you're right, they can't handle being proved wrong lol. :D

I don't think being a libertarian means you have a looser interpretation of morality. You can be a very strict traditional moralist and be libertarian. All it means to be a libertarian is that you don't want the government to enforce whatever moral code you're operating under on everyone else.

I am a pretty strict personal moralist and a pretty classic libertarian. I recognize that my imposed limitations are self-imposed and I would never require them to be placed on another person by law.

A moralist who demands that others follow their paths even if they disagree with them are a lot of the reasons why the middle east is a terrible place to live.

They're also usually terrible hypocrites and are usually suffering from the very things they hate and claim to want to be against or prevent. Specifically, I often use homosexuality as an example. It's against Sharia Law to be a homosexual, but it doesn't stop tribal leaders from diddling boys after hosting community dances and then being in complete denial about it or stoning women for premartial (and often unwilling) sexual activities.
