Shotguns Suck For Home Defense

Whatever your choice of "best" home defense weapon... would you take this shot?
Yeah, it happens. Intruder grabs your wife maybe your kid as "persuasion".
As far as entry team weaponry, to a certain extent they have the same criteria as a home owner...
Stop the threat, be vigilant of innocents in the line of fire, make precision shots.

There are obviously pros and cons to any weapon. For me, I think there are better home defense guns than a shotgun and i don't use one as such.

IMO you will not hear the shot it’s auditory block out. In high stress situations your brain shuts off certain things.

Believe it or not some of the parts of ”saving Private Ryan” are the best examples. Time slows down, tunnel vision, the shakes are all real.

Nah, shotgun sucks. Why deal with all that recoil and lack of pin point accuracy? When there's a better equipment, why settle for bookstick?
