It peeks my interest for sure..
I've been looking at the Glock 26 or 43 for a bug..
Now you've put another in the mix = SIG P365..

These SIGs must be really cheap to produce if they where able to beet out Glock for the Military Contract..
I would think they would cost $300 + extra for nightsights..

Just found this out. The rail on the front is made for Sig accessories only. So Sig lights and lasers for now.

Yes, true. I was bummed to hear this as I am a big fan of the TLR-6 on sub compact carry pistols. But Sig has been producing some pretty good optics recently so I am optimistic that this innovation will carry over to laser/lights.

I don't recall hearing if this is a chassis pistol like the 320, but if it is, it will only cost you about $40 to find out.

It IS a chassis pistol. But I haven't heard if this is meant to be "modular" at all. Probably not. And I wonder if they'll even sell new grip modules?

Wonder if a GGG mount for an HK USP or USP Compact would work?

Didn't Walther have a proprietary rail on some of their pistols once upon a time, too?

A rail adapter did also enter my mind. But those will, of course, add bulk, weight, and increase "standoff" distance to any lights/lasers/bayonets installed. Certainly may be worth overcoming.

This “rail” is nothing more than a couple of grooves. A Picatinny rail would look enormous on this chassis. SIG made a good decision for all the right reasons.

Good point. Notice how the rail extends back behind the front of the trigger guard. Looks like it will give it a much better mount while still keeping the size down.

I want to shoot it first, try the trigger out, and give it some time for some kydex molds to get out there. I was on the fence on a g43 due to capacity and stock sights and this at least looks promising.

Well went to the range today and put 100 rounds through a rented P320 carry and was MIGHTALLY impressed. Going back tomorrow for a second try and if the P320 Carry ends up the favorite among the ones Im going to try, I will undoubtedly give the P365 a test drive and if it equals my Shield, it will without doubt become a stable mate to the P320 Carry as I wish to keep all my carry and IDPA guns of the same manufacturer for obvious reasons.

It will be really interesting to see how this works out once it ships. From everything I've seen so far, they seem to have knocked this one out of the park. A year ago, I was not much into striker fired pistols but the CZ P10C helped change my mind. This could make a good replacement for my P938 if it is everything it's cracked up to be.

Agreed. The "if it is everything it's cracked up to be" is the big thing for me. From everything I have seen, this looks to be about perfect for my needs. Time will tell.
