Landed 1000 Berry’s 115gr fmj 9mm for cheap so loaded up a bunch of those with Unique today.

Was on a roll so kept going with 44 mag. Hornady xtp 240gr and ftx 225gr with H110

Looking to land some dies and components to start loading 270 too. Got a new to me Winchester Model 70 that I want to start working up loads for.

May I ask what you are using for Unique amount? I'm using Xtreme 115gr fmj 9mm and when I did my ladder testing, I found 5.0gr of unique was the most accurate, but I'm still looking to see if I need to vary slightly. Loaded about 150 to start with and have shot about one third so far. The only thing I noticed was that with 5gr, the brass was full enough that on the Dillion 650, a few pieces of unique shook out going around the shell plate between the measure and the check alarm.

I went with 5.1 since I was using a Lee auto disk powder measure on my rock checker and that was what it was dropping with the disk I had in it. Haven’t got to shoot any of them yet but both manuals I have showed that at middle to upper end of the road for powder amount. That is some fluffy powder though. First time I’ve used it and it filled the cases a little more than 3/4 of the way full. I could see how a Dillon might shake some out. I’m just using it for range practice ammo so we will see how it goes.

Finally chrono'ed my 6x47 (old school on 222 mag cases) with 75 grain ballistic tips. Running about 2980 fps and still accurate, so this may be a deer caliber with a well placed shot.. Have never taken deer with this rifle, it was my first custom build. I lost it during a divorce, sold it to a friend who volunteered to keep it until I was on my feet again. He decided he liked it, took me 29 years to get it back from him.

Piddling with 9mm 124g Delta Precision hollow points. Every time I take a break from working on the bathroom to smoke, I load a dozen or so.

No i use standard load data, these are being loaded with W231 and true blue powders. have had no issues and have done this for 2 or 3 years now when i can get the pulled cases. I have also used 9mm and 45 acp in aluminum also with no issues. At the cost of these it is cheaper too shoot and don't have to worry about saving my brass. A friend of mine has actually reloaded these but i don't recommend it myself

Bought an M1903 from CMP two weeks ago, and am looking for information on the M1906 ball ammo that was being used when my rifle was made. What I've found online is a 150 gr bullet, 2700 fps at the muzzle. Not exactly hauling butt.

The online Hodgdon/IMR reloading info prescribes ~46 - 48 grains of powder for IMR 4895, 4064, 4320, or Varget, depending on powder.

The IMR wikipedia article states 1147 was introduced in 1923 and used in 30-06. 1147 was later replaced by 4320. Since M1906 ball was used until 1925, it is possible that IMR 4320 is roughly a modern equivalent of what was used as powder for the M1906 ball ammo? Just curious.

Answered my own question! I found a PDF of an Ordnance manual from the 30s online - it said 1147 was used for M1 ball ammo.

It also stated IMR 15, 16, 17, 20, 22, 23 and 25 were used in M1906 ball. The only thing I could trace to a modern equivalent was 15, which was replaced by 1015 in 1919, which was replaced by 4064 in 1935. Boom! So, as far as modern equivalents are concerned...

    IMR 4064 for M1906 ball
    IMR 4320 for M1 ball
    IMR 4895 for M2 ball

    I guess. Maybe.

My Accurate powder load book has service rifle loads in it for accurate powder.
If you find load data for an M1Garand use that data.
There's quite a few powders that will work.
