    1 box ramen noodles.. like less than $5.00..

    Don't go nuts, you don't need it all at once. Do what I do and only spend like $25.00/mo. you can buy a hell of a lot of cans with coupons for $25.00. and several cases of bottled water for $25.00, that's less than a carton of smokes.
    Ramen gets mentioned as a great foodstuff for long-term storage but it's high in fat. Fat can go rancid. If you're going to keep ramen make it something that you actually consume and rotate through the stock as time progresses. Also, if you don't eat ramen normally, don't waste your money on it for preps. Buy what you eat.
