    Near the big river.
Got "The Shape of Water" Friday from Netflix. Wife and I watched it yesterday......Wow, haven't seen such a worthless waste of time ever.

    Even though it showed boobies..;)

I've felt that "nothing is on" feeling when clearly a metric butt-tonne load of shows are available. For me, I think it's more about how I'm feeling at the time more so than the actual available selection of programs. It's me telling me that I'm only watching tv because I'm too lazy to do something else! Hah! Then I get over it because . . . I'm too lazy to do anything else. Except maybe run my mouth a little more. Or perhaps take a nap. Or both.

It's really bad when you have a lot of channels and you have Amazon Prime and you have Netflix, but you still feel like there is nothing you want to watch!

Movies not to watch a second time ... Anything by M. Night Shyamalan ...

    Holy CRAP! Those movies SUCK.

Before I knew better, I made the mistake of seeing "The Village" in the theater. What a suckfest that was. I talked about it somewhere online, but I can't remember where. I do remember that several fans of M. Night Shyamalan insisted that the only reason I didn't like the film was because I didn't understand it. They assured me that were I able to comprehend what I was seeing, its greatness was obvious. They were not joking. Agreeing to disagree was not acceptable either. Hard to forget that level of condescension, but I can't remember where I enjoyed the experience.

"Lost in Translation" was awful. I never understood the hype around it when it came out.

    :dunno:

We must have walked out before that part.

Some of the movies I can watch over and over include:

    The Big Lebowski
    Swingers
    Rushmore
    Coming to America
    Trading Places
    Tombstone
    Point Break (this first one)
    The Running Man
    Total Recall (the first one)
    Trainspotting
    Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves
    The Shawshank Redemption
    Knocked Up
    40 Year-old Virgin
    The Goonies
    True Romance
    Top Gun
    Half Baked
    Fast Times at Ridgemont High

    To name a few.

Have you watched Trainspotting 2? It is on cable (forget which premium channel) again, this month.

I watched A Clockwork Orange as a kid. Swore I'd never watch it again. So in my thirties, after numerous friends kept telling me I HAD to re-watch it, I did.

And guess what? It still sucked.

Another I swear on a stack of bibles I will NEVER watch again is The Mist.

Yeah, not watching The Mist again here, either. I also watched A Clockwork Orange in my youth and even have it as part of a Kubrick collection, but I have never felt the need to watch it again.

No, haven't seen it yet. There was very little promotion around it when it was released, which surprised me. I think it only played in art house theaters when it came out.

That and no re-watchability (not sure that is a word) because he goes for the big twist... Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, etc.

Always something good on that channel. :):

I got through about 15 minutes of Sharknado once. Usually can tolerate a movie that is so stupid that it is funny. That one was stupid and not funny.

My list of movies that I can watch over and over is a lot like Rhino's. Especially Boondock Saints and Unforgiven.

I'll add From Dusk Til Dawn to that list. For obvious reasons, if you've seen it.

Man, I LOVE a good cheesy movie! Some of the old '50's sci fi movies are great! And you haven't laughed until you've seen Flesh Gordon. Disclaimer: Soft Porn.

    I'd like to say Godfather III...but I can't. :(

I'm a huge Godfather fan, I've only seen III once. I've seen The Godfather Epic (I and II in chronological order with deleted scenes, it's 7 hours long) twice because it's been on twice that I know of.

I've heard Heaven's Gate is unwatchable. Michael Cimino's epic western and movie that followed The Deer Hunter is synonymous with bomb.

For comedy I can't count the number of times I've seen Spaceballs and The Blues Brothers. Monty Python's Search for the Holy Grail is up there too.
