    I can see big agra developing some sort of low cost, monotonous, but nutritious crackers that keep people alive, they probably have that tech today. I don't see them making it out of people though.

    I don’t think big agra will do that. No market. They want things that sell, they’re capitalists to a fault.
    Now, big socialist gov that needs to keep people fed?
    Energized just enough to grind along but not enough to rebel? You bet, and the storehouses may already be full.

    They will likely make it out crickets first, then move to algae when the Brawndo kills all the crickets but as all the Brawndo in the water begins to reduce the algae harvests they will have to resort to soylent green…

    I have to admit that if something like a cheap nutrition cracker existed when I was in school I probably would have been eating it.
    thats already kindof a thing.
    Apparently some products are starting to have a weird label like "sustainable". And when you look at the back at the ingredients they contain cricket flour to enhance protein.
