Just wanna respond here since I haven’t posted. Come out and have some fun with the full auto toys. You are welcome to bring FACTORY non-corrossive ammo and shoot whatever you like. I will have some on hand as well that people are welcome to purchase.

    Should be a fun day!!!!

Am I reading that I could bring factory non-corrossive 7.62x39 from my own stash and shoot the full-auto AK?

This just brought back a lot of memories. Went to ISU and used to go to that range all the time with my roommates/fraternity brothers. I bet I put 10,000 rounds out of my Ruger SR9 there over the years at ISU. We'd sit and reload all week long in our apartment on a RCBS single stage just to go shooting on the weekend. Range owner was an awesome individual, always encourage ISU students to come join and participate.

Getting geared up for this!!! Gonna be a fun day. I am pretty well stocked up on 9mm and 308. I have a case of 223 coming as long as it gets here on time. I may or may not have 300 blackout on hand so if you really want to shoot the 300BLK suppressed full auto, you may need to bring some factory ammo (no reloads please). Costs for what I have on hand are gonna be as follows (which is my cost on everything).

    9mm $6 per 30 round mag
    223 $10 per 30 round mag
    308 $11 per 20rnd mag or $55 per 100rnd belt
    7.62x39 $7.50 per 30rnd mag

Be prepared for mud! The pistol areas always seems to be mucky after rain, but Don and Stephen having been doing a lot of trenching recently to put in drainage to help get water off the ranges better in the future so there's lots of exposed dirt elsewhere right now. Wear nasty shoes or boots this weekend. You have been warned. :)

I tried to reply with some details about tomorrow, but your site always fights me. I have to write every thing off line and them past it in. That's why I don't participate in your BLOG. I don't have time to write tomorrow's info again. See you tomorrow. We'll figure it out in person. Come have FUN, BE SAFE, CLEAN UP

Well, while the big 2" cannon is still not complete, I do have a 30mm breech loader that should be ready to go. I spent a couple hours last night casting a whole bunch of slugs for it and I will be preparing powder charges tonight. So fingers crossed, we'll have a (small) cannon for the shoot tomorrow.

I had an awesome time at the event today. Thank you guys for bringing your nfa items and letting us all share them!

You said it. What a blast. I think I had a smile on my face the entire drive back to Indy.

Thanks Beowolf and Rafferty Custom Guns for setting this up and sharing the full auto toys with us. I think I had as fun watching other people shoot as I did shooting myself, especially watching the youngsters.

I brought five guns with me, but never bothered to pull any of the rifles out of the car. There didn't seem to be any point with the expansive selection of NFA stuff to pick from.

Thanks again to Don for opening up the range for us. It's amazing to see the progress in the South Valley and how much the range has grown and progressed over the last few years. I also love listening to Don circulate around and ask everyone, "are you having fun?"

I can say with certainty, today we were definitely having fun.
