That's better than 2500.00 lol, i'm sure they'll sell out.In stock right now on Buds for $899
I'm not at all nit-picking with those that want an ambi safety - lot's of good reasons for it. However...I will definitely be getting one, but I may wait for a different variation that comes with ambi safety among other things.
Curious...by Sportsman's do you mean sportsman's warehouse? Looking on Springfield's website, I don't see them listing a single MIL/LE dealer in Indiana. I'd like to take advantage of this, but it cuts into the savings pretty drastically if you have to go through an out of state dealer and then pay a transfer fee. But if sportsman's warehouse can do it, that would be sweet...there's one about an hour from me in Ft Wayne.I've bought quite a few Springfields on the IOP program through Sportman's, but i'm sure you'd be waiting a long time for SPFD to ship MIL/LE labeled SA-35's out, I was surprised to find them even on the list so soon so that's good. In reality if I found one for at least MSRP i'd probably buy it vs. saving the 150.00 dollars but I wouldn't pay over MSRP.

Just as with 1911's if you want an ambi you can put one on, you could use the C&S offering or an original Browning, they are easy to find.I'm not at all nit-picking with those that want an ambi safety - lot's of good reasons for it. However...
The BHP was my CCW for 30 years (1990 - 2020). I absolutely love them. The one thing I always thought about was getting rid of the safety lever on the right side (left hander safety). For whatever reason, sometimes the safety would get bumped "off" during the day. Finding the BHP "Cocked-and-Ready to Shoot My Ass" never gave me warm fuzzies. The gun had other protections (firing pin safety etc.), and a good holster, so I was never too concerned, but I personally wouldn't put one on if it wasn't there already. Again, just personal condition and opinion.

I've seen it with some of the cheaper leather holsters like Galco that tend to get softer faster that with the thumb snap models you could wiggle the strap a little and it would take the safety off. 1911's are easier to set the thumb safety pressure vs. HP's. If you get the C&S spring and plunger it gives you a lot more positive 'snick' than the FN parts. We'll see how the safety is on these new HP's.I had similar experiences with a couple 1911s.
When I took my Rock Ultra FS 10MM out of the box the first thing I noticed was the thumb safety was very light/loose. You just barely touch it and it flipped on. Shooting was a pain because it would flip up by my lightly touching it, and the next rd the hammer would not drop. The other problem was you had to use a lot of force to get it off safe.I had similar experiences with a couple 1911s.
I'll be waiting on the SA that's for sure. The prices are insane just like on PS5's.Yea. I knew they would command over MSRP at first but dang....whats a poor boy to do.
And there goneThat's better than 2500.00 lol, i'm sure they'll sell out.

FN/Browning never made a stainless pistol so either nickel or hard chrome of some sort.Maybe I'll wait for the polished stainless steel slide and frame SA 35
