    Behind the crosshairs
Springfield makes more firearms than just the Saint and the M1A. Dick's is doing away with "Sporting rifles".
Plenty of hand guns, like quality 1911's.

And I normally don't point stuff like this out, I think you mean "They're a hero"? As in they are, instead of "Their" which implies ownership of something: "Oh that is their 1911".

Ahh yes, thank you for pointing that out! This must be like the your and you're.

Let me practice. You're a bag of Dick's sporting goods.

    Is that correct? :stickpoke:

Thanks, interesting. Was this not in any American Rifleman magazine? I can imagine why there wouldn’t be mention of it in magazines like G&A cause of advertising revenue. Had I known this I wouldn’t have bought wife EMP4 last year.

Because the NRA doesn't care about gun rights, they care about selling guns, which is what Springfield is in the business of.

It is just Springfield Armory jumping on an opportunity to try and get on our good side.

Not going to work for me.

Springfield and Rock River tried to cut out a carve out with the Illl legislature over tightening restrictions on FFLs, got caught.

Two thumbs up. Fool me once.....

I enjoy wasting the stores time showing me inventory and then advising them I wouldn't spend a dime in their establishment. Try on the footwear, sports gear, jackets, etc. Handle the merchandise. Asks lots of questions of the sale clerks. Go see / feel the product and then buy it on line from some other distributor once you've seen what you like. Talk with the other customers about the ANTI GUN Policies of their Liberal / Socialist Corporation (especially while in their gun Area. Go find the manager, voice your opinion, explain in detail what you did in the store. Leave peacefully and immediately when they ask you to. It's their Private Property. Smile as you go out enjoying the exercise.

You realize the people you're doing that to had no say in the matter right? I'm all for telling Dick's to go **** themselves but you're not going about it the right way.

I agree. Most people working for the stores are high school kids and possibly future gun owners themselves. I don’t see this helping our cause. Write dicks an email and explain why you won’t be doing business with them anymore, but wasting the 17 year olds time and getting kicked out of a store sheds a negative light if anything.

Plus 1. While I understand the frustration, there’s plenty of other places to purchase firearms from as well as sporting goods.

LOL. Whut? Since when did the NRA start selling guns? They sell advertising but not guns.

The NRA is owned by manufactures and special interests. They clearly have no issues rolling over on our rights, as shown by their advocacy for their bump-stock ban. The NRA doesn't care about you and I, unless we're buying new guns. If the NRA cared about 2A rights, they'd be out there beating the drum of 1934 NFA and 1968 GCA repeals. A repeal of the 86 Hughes amendment, and other things that have infringed our rights. But all they care about is getting manufacture dollars in the coffers, to pay LaPierre's and Chris Cox's fat paychecks

And all this time I thought the NRA was a special interest group that owned all the politicians. I appreciate you taking the time to clear that up for me.
