Looks like another OC demonstration to prove to the sheep we have the right to carry openly and to prove that only law abiding, mentally stable individuals carry firearms.

I can guarantee the media and the general public will see any future escapade downtown as the same.

No, I did not mean to use purple.

Yeah, I seen that, classy move. No respect for our flag.

They had worse things at the moment to worry about then the flag.... I love this country but if i was in the same situation i would toss it also. The guy obviously doesnt have a normal mindset so he could be some wack job. The flag was probably the last thing on any of those officers minds....that doesnt make them any less of an American. Give them a break...jeeze

And you're upset that the flag's on the ground?

I'm pretty flag conscious. I hold the flag in the highest regard. Any flag I own that has EVER touched the ground accidently, has been destroyed properly. It's even part of my avatar.

With that, the cops had a job to do. Unfortunately while doing their duties the flag became a casualty. If that particular flag is anywhere other than an evidence room or VFW waiting to be destroyed, that's the true foul.

I haven't read all the post in this thread, but Danny is "out there." I live in the house he used to own, and he still has 5 acres behind me, with an easemant. He has a small building back there, a crapload of old cars, odds and ends, and usually comes down here on the weekends. He called me a couple of days ago, making sure everything was good here. I know that most of this stemmed from his political views, which were very odd, but we generally agreed about 1/2 the time. I just don't understand what type of a statement he was trying to make, because he was an Army Vet, but thats Danny:dunno:.

My problem now is I know the fing feds are going to show up at MY house, and we are going to have issues. I am very suprised they did not show up today, and when they do, how much does anyone want to bet they will have a warrant for my residence. We are walking on pins and needles here. And, perchance they have it right, I am going to try to document everything that they do. Lets see what happens.

If thats the case, I wouldn't go posting it on the net for them to read adding to their PC.

Doesnt matter, my property and I haven't done anything. Our Gov is so jacked up, it cannot get an address right, but the riverboat casinos are tied in with the postal service, and know immediately when a person changes address. I have gotten Dannys mail in my box, small claims supeonas on my door, etc., etc. Incompetent bureacracy.

#1 - The Feds didn't and won't have anything to do with this. It happened on state property and he was detained by IWMPD/ICPD which are under ISP.

#2 - Why would the Feds have a warrant for your place because you know this guy? Unless he is in there spilling the beans about you and your illicit activities (not an assumtion). Being neighbors/friends/talking on the phone, ect isn't going to make PC for a warrant.

I wasnt saying that they didnt have a job to do or that they arent patriots or dont care about our country but it just seemed that by the time the cop tossed the flag on the ground the guy was already disarmed, in cuffs on his way to the back of a crusier. Just seems like a lack of class on thier part to me.

Would this be a good time to mention that the IDHS had my SSN & DLN for a background check, yet managed to issue a certification to me in an incorrect name?
