Another question. What is a typical match duration? I know, a lot of variables, like number of shooters but generally speaking.... done by noon, 3,5?

Didn't you just answer your own question? The key variable is there are 8 stages vs. the normal 5 stages.

Normally, 10:00 to 2:00 with 5 stages and 10 to 13 gun squads.

Since it's going to require a minimum of 195 rounds (7 stages @ 25 rounds plus Outer Limits @ 20 rounds), I will probably shoot only one gun.

Thanks Riley crew. Had a great time of shooting steel today, except for a few gun troubles. And did you know it's not possible to reload a .22 pistol with a 9mm magazine? Learn something new everyday....

Fun match! Long day! Good practice.

I shot some excellent strings today, but I also had some equally bad performances. When I concentrated on fundamentals, it felt like I was going slower, but my times were better. I had a few draws to small steel that went pretty well too.

Crazy how that works. Get rid of that speed focus and go faster. Why are we all so slow to understand and go that? I had a few runs on Showdown where shots got called and I was on the next plate before the steel clanged. Need to do this more.

I do recall a 14 year old daughter complaining her father never pointed out all the SAFETY features of a gun she was using.
