Yes, that was <10 miles away as the crow flies.

Last year it was seen by my neighbor and his grandson, this year it was seen by his son and grandson. So I am guessing it has something to do with his grandson...

All these posts about how the DNR "won't admit there are cougars" or how they're hiding it when there have been multiple articles from the IDNR, including game cam pics taken in Green county, about the occasional cougar in the state. They just don't accept every sighting as fact without some kind of proof, and who can blame them? How many German Shepherds or black cats have been mistaken as wolves and black panthers? People often get stuff wrong, they just do and sorry if that hurts your delicate feelings. Think about it this way, if the DNR, FWS, USFS, etc published articles confirming Bigfoot every time some drunk redneck claimed he saw one what kind of credibility would they have?

How dare you bring facts and common sense to a perfectly good DNR bashing session

It's only a matter of time before cougars make a comeback here in Indiana.
Prime hunting grounds for ambush style attacks and no competition by other species.

They already have made a comeback. There were none and now there are some.

So why are the "Officials" so against having Mountain Lions spotted out here in Indiana? :dunno:

We had them in CA. Yes they can be a menace. They took horses, chickens and everything in between but we lived with them just the same.

I've found singing Bill Monroe numbers high pitched and lubed by bourbon to be a good deterrent back when I was young enough to prey of such things at Jim Porters in Louisville....
