Do police every blame non-police when guns are stolen from non-police?

Regardless of the quick political points that can be scored from this, incidents of thefts of guns from the military and police underscore the futility of gun control.

It's California. Full auto sub machines are illegal for citizens to own, so why would anyone want to steal them and risk getting caught with them.

I hope the thieves use live ammo in them and they blow up on them since they have been converted to only fire training ammo only(guessing blanks or sim rounds). Either way, LAPD dropped the ball.
