    My Dad bought a 24/7 in a .40. I thought it was a good shooting gun. He only shot it once, and traded it. For only $400, I would buy one but I do not want a carry weapon with a manual safety. I prefer the ability to decock, or have a trigger safety.

    They do make a model with a Decocker built into the safety.

    Up = Safety Engaged

    Middle (or down on a standard 24/7) = Safety Disengaged

    Push Down = Decock.

    You can carry it with the safety off and have your decocker.

    I don't know if this was simply a "change" in the normal version, or if it was a different model variation. I don't remember. I do remember seeing them when I worked at Bradis.

    The above is exactly how my PT-940 is and I bought it 9.5 years ago.

    Oh ok Acme had models, with safety only. In that case, I may have to look into one thanks!

    Well...I guess I'll post what I had...

    PT111 Pro - Traded towards PT92 (When they had the 13lb DAO triggers...disliked the trigger, loved the gun)

    PT92 Black - Traded for PT917SS (I miss this one the most I think. The 917SS was very nice looking with the wood grips, but the black looked all business. It was extremely comforting to have when I got pursued one night. Fortunately that ended without a shot being fired, and 6 fantastic police officers dealing with the threat. Hmmm...is it odd to have an emotional attachment to an object that I thought was going to save my bacon?)

    PT917 Stainless - Sold when I needed $ b/c the ex wife met someone else more interesting then I (Yes... I held onto that 21 round magazine for a future 92/917 purchase!!!)

    PT22 - Traded towards a Ruger MkII (I hated this Taurus)

    Now - I have a pair of Bersa's for pocket carry (I sure wish I could find AMMO!), and a set of CZ's. I will definitely get another PT92 or PT917 someday, but after I scratch a couple more CZ's off my list... :D

    I have the Duotone PT1911 and it has been one of the best shooters I have ever owned! I have put several hundred rounds through it and never had any feed problems or stovepipes! Awesome 1911! You cannot beat the price especially with all the upgrades it comes with stock!
