    Sorry to the OP about hijacking with this question...

    Saw a nice PT99 stainless in box with 2 mags at LGS. It seemed very smooth. Care to share your opinions about yours as compared to a standard Beretta? I know they are a lot less expensive and the frame mounted safety allows for 1911-style cocked and locked carry but doubt I would carry it. Has yours been reliable? Would you hesitate to pickup a used one?
    Not had the first problem with my PT99, and I have had it more than 20 years.
    No, I would not hesitate to buy a used one, provided it didn't look abused.

    Had a Taurus 38 snubby for years. Never had a single problem. It was even reasonably accurate for a snub nose

    I have a couple Taurus revolvers, I have never had a problem them. I have a magnum Judge and a 5 shot light model 85 or something like that in 38 special. Both are decent pistols.
