Well, the good news is that my coworker took me to Popeye's today and it was delicious.

My fried chicken craving has been sated for a fortnight.

Why? Maybe he ran out of ammo? You don't shoot once and ask "Are you still going to try to kill me?" You shoot to stop the threat.

Hmmm . . . if you train to "shoot to the ground," it would suck (more than it already sucked) to be caught in such a situation and the attacker still didn't go down or turn away after five hits.

He wasn't happy with his shot placement and thought he could do better.

Without knowing the actual placement of the shots and guessing the robber was between him and the counter, I'm glad that not only was his family safe, but the people behind the counter were, too.

Are you implying we should carry more than 5 rounds?! :n00b:

Are you implying we should carry more than 5 rounds?! :n00b:

Yes you should. Here is a typical reason why:

First shot is a warning shot to scare the bad guy away

Second shot is another warning shot, in case it was loud in the building

Third shot is aimed at the bad guys gun

Fourth shot is aimed at bad guys leg

When the above doesn't work you dump the additional five rounds into bad guy center mass to finally get him to stop.

I always aim to plug the barrel so if he fires again his gun blows up in his face.
