;) granted they are gonna resell them to the masses cause apple products just b-l-o-w.

as for that person that gave you all his data i-d-i-o-...!!!!!!
i trust no one with my data not even my own hardware. have a back up, have a back up to the back up offsite, have another back up (encrypted) in the cloud as well. if you really need that data you make backups!

Those videos made me sick to my stomach! I'm glad justice will be served.

justice was not fully served. in roman times....;)

Thanks for sharing your recent experiences, even though much of it was bad!

So pleased you took the time to testify at the hearings. Can't say I was surprised...it's the type of person you are. :yesway:

Glad you're with us on INGO!

I'm betting that if they watch surveillance footage of the local walmart in the day or two prior, they'll see someone buying 4 identical pea green totes too.

I hate thieves. I have people who destroy property. I feel your pain.

But glad you got the goods back.

Glad to hear that they were caught and the merchandise was returned. I think after this close call, it would be a perfect time for you to go over your business plan and insurance policies. In your insurance policies make sure that you have coverage for electronic data processing (EDP) coverage, bailee coverage as you are taking in customers property for repair and business interruption coverage in the event you are forced to shut down for a period of time due to a loss.

Sadly there are insurance agents out there that do not understand what they are selling and fail to recognize exposures that may not be covered for a specialized type of business.

Good luck and hopefully this will be the only problem like this that you will experience.

Well done TechRes:yesway:, I tried to rep you (Our socialist rep system requires me to spread it around) for your follow through and "cautionary tactics" to testify and get home safe.... most people would have just "let it go".

Be safe (I'm sure you always are) getting to and from work. I have a feeling that your "feeling" is spot on about these guys being the worker bees from a larger hive.

I'm sorry to hear this happened to the store. But I'm very glad they got caught and you were able to put them behind bars.

It doesn't surprise me one bit that you would go testify against them. You seem like that kind of guy to not let bad things go unpunished no matter how much of a hassle it is to you. We need more people like that in the world. Good job!

What a bunch of morons! Thank goodness for stupid criminals. How many times have we heard about some major bust developing out of a simple traffic stop? Thousands of $$$ worth of stolen goods or hundreds of pounds of drugs recovered because they're too stupid to have proper registration or obey traffic laws.

Im assuming because the break in didnt occur in Preble Co, OH, thats just where they were arrested with the stolen property.

I would expect burglary charges to come into play from Bloomington.

Thank you for posting this Techres. It really has opened my eyes and makes me think about my own 10 seconds, so to speak. You are a good man and I just wanted to say thank you for actually going to testify.

Further more, I know its not a lot but I'd like to donate $5 for your gas fund if you would PM me and tell me where to send it.

ETA: I'm sure all of ingo is proud of you for seeing to it yourself that they get prosecuted. Lets hope they don't get a plea deal!

Edited To Also ADD (ETAA) - This reminds me I need to backup my data tonight and think about investing in an offsite backup harddrive.

Although I hate to hear that your shop was broken into, this is the best thread I have ever read on INGO. I'm elated that you recovered the equipment, as well as those customers who were worrying about their identity, work, and personal property. Great work to the police departments involved and your staff for keeping accurate records.
