    I want to be surprised by retirements of officers with "only" 20 years on, but I'm not.


    My older brother lasted just 15 years on the FWPD. My younger brother is coming up on 15 years with the DNR with no attention of leaving.

    One of my closest friends is set to leave the Allen County Sheriffs Department, he has in 25 years. There is not a day he is not cursed at, flipped off, screamed at, his car spit on and he is tired of it.
