I did a quick trip to MCFG this morning and brought half of my ammo back home. Over the last month or so, I have been having intermittent issues with the shoulder that are interfering with the strength training I need to do in PT. I’ve unfortunately narrowed it down to shooting that’s causing the issues. I did three range trips last weekend and the shoulder felt like the surgery had failed up until Wednesday. The week before was similar, but not as bad. I figured that I’d put up the .40 poly guns and just shoot the SP01 Tactical for a while since that thing has very. Little recoil.

After a couple of mags, I could feel the shoulder reacting badly again, so I shot a .22lr for a couple of minutes and packed it up. I’ve hit my 10k goal for the year and am close to the 11k mark, so I don’t mind taking a break too much. I’m hoping that with a month off, the strength training will progress enough to start shooting anything larger than a .22 again.

Sorry to hear you are still having problems with the shoulder 88. I injured my shoulder years ago and it was over a year before it was back to 100%.

Thanks, but I’m fine. I keep thinking that because it feels fine, it must be back to normal and then I do something I should not do. Like run a quick 100 rounds through my .40 P07 to check function. The shoulder quickly lets me know that it’s a good 6 months from normal.

I really wish MM and BA could trade their issues for one like I have.

Damnit man. The pantsless highway takes its toll.

After I left our FTF I ran down 267 a bit and west out into the flat country to stop at a friends to look at his furnace. The wind was cutting at his place. Brutal. Issues with the LP tank/Regulator had me out in it for a bit too long. I was under dressed. Just chilled to the bone. Never did warm all the way back up.

I am confident that my daughter will do something like this when she gets older. And not because she's a girl, but because she's a kid.

My first car was a RWD Plymouth with a V-8. First winter I decided to see how bad the roads were by flooring it. So as I was digging snow from around the car in the ditch, a nice farmer came by and pulled me out. I thought my Dad was gonna bury ME in the snow. And then there was the time I backed into my Mom's car...in our own driveway...but that's a whole nother story.

My Dad was trying to teach me parallel parking when I was 15, in our driveway. We were in Mom's Buick and I managed to put a dent into both the front and rear quarter panel on my Dad's Ranchero. Last time my Dad tried to teach me any driving skills... :(

Tough day. Had to put our 14 year old yellow lab down today. Our kids have never been without a dog and aren't taking it well.

Never good to have to say goodbye to an old friend. My kids have never known life without their dogs, I'm sure they won't take it well either when the time comes.

Tim, I will come take your 40s out on a date and keep them warm! No strings attached sort of deal. Just let me know when.

PS. I know you like cleaning, so I’ll bring them back dirty.

Very sad, focus on the good times. My condolences sir, it is really tough to loose an old friend/family member.
