I just remember hearing about it on the news that the adult movie people were combing out their inventory to destroy everything before they all got tossed in jail. It made me wonder if there was some sort of short amnesty on this like NFA items and if anybody was charged.

In a state of acute Pork-i-docis
In this case he's selling the videos far enough after the discovery to be "knowingly" dealing in child porn. I'm thinking that considering the fast change of this from legal inventory to contraband, if justice didn't give people in this business a reasonable amount of time to get rid of her stuff before starting investigations.

Doesn't sound like it was very long.

Not a time issue, it is an issue of whether he knew what they were or not.

The Supreme Court same to the same conclusion in that case that I argue for in strict liability statutory cases. It isnt constitutional to make people into criminals unless they are at least aware they are doing the thing that the law prohibits.

So apparently some guy on Twitter calling himself "Ivan" had been working with Defense Distributed to correct a number of errors on the AR-15 solid models. And he recently went public with the files.

In addition to the solid models, the release also contains a complete copy of the M16A1 Technical Data Package, as obtained by way of Freedom of Information Act request from the United States Army Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center at Picatinny Arsenal. This is the actual pertinent information necessary to define and manufacture the parts; drawings, dimensions, tolerances, materials, and heat treat. On top of this, the solid models are just gravy, saves you the work of drawing them up yourself.
