Game of the Year went to God of War... and not RDR2.

    Surprise.

    Show's over. No Kojima appearance.

Lot of anti-vaping ads. Lot of SJW grandstanding. Hope the show doesn't sell-out to that sort of crowd going forward.

Big weekend. Picked up Smash Bros Friday. Good time, enjoying the single-player story mode.

Katamari Reroll... opted for PC version over Switch. Runs excellent, feels great. It's a short game, but the $30 price tag helps. Feels good to play it again, and I hope to see the rest of the sequels remade.

Got Beat Saber on Saturday for HTC Vive. It's as fun as everyone says... crazy how natural it feels once you get into a rhythm.

Looking for a new CPU/Mobo/ram this coming spring...looking at the

AMD 2700X/3700X(rumored to be released 2019)
    Intel 8700k
    Intel 9700k
    Intel 9900k

From a technically standpoint, I know which I should buy but from a frugal buying standpoint, I know which one I ought to buy. Can't make up my mind.

The trick is to get the most for your money. That will often mean getting something other than the latest generation of processor

Right...the 2700x would allow me to upgrade more things for the same amount of money as buying an 9900k....but the 9900k is more future proof and outperforms all other CPU mentioned
