I already thought Spacey was a homosexual, so his "announcement" came as no surprise.
The bad part is him trying to force it on a 14 year old boy.

Growing up I knew a kid who'd been molested at about that age on multiple occasions.
I didn't learn this until many years later.
He ended up being a self hating homosexual who ended up dying of AIDS.
He was really messed up.

No, I'm saying that a grown man forcing himself on a 14 year old boy is the problem.
Yes, it is a "truism" for heterosexuals too as I know all too well.
I was adopted at birth, and am the result of a 26 year old man taking advantage of a 13 year old girl.
My 14 year old birthmom put me up for adoption, and lucky for me I ended up part of a great family with great parents.

So if I seem a little harsh on adults having sex with kids, I hope you'll cut me some slack.

To be fair, all these examples of "sweet 16" type songs weren't marketed to the fathers of those girls in the songs. They were marketed to the teeny-bopper girls that made up the fan base of the singers/groups. Not victim blaming, just pointing out the marketing ploy behind them. Let's face it, there were a lot of young teen (and pre-teen) girls that fantasized about being "that girl" in the songs.
