    Thanks Mrs G.

That's too bad. That's not that old.

No, but she has multiple health problems, most of which we were not aware of until last night. She has a heart condition and thyroid condition that she's on meds for, and for the last few days, she has not been herself. Last night she crashed. Not eating, lethargic, no bowel or bladder control. Took her to the emergency vet and they did labs that showed extreme diabetes, pancreatitis, and kidney failure. They are keeping her for the night to keep her stabilized, but we have a decision to make come morning. :(

hubby is not allowed to let the dogs and cats in and out anymore. He let Angus out, he has 6 more days before he's supposed to be out running wild.

I know it is tough, but it doesn't sound like you have much of a choice. She has to be miserable.

Yeah, and if she makes it through this crisis, it will be difficult keeping her healthy. The congestive heart failure and kidney failure work against each other. To fight the kidney failure, they need to push fluids, which can send her into heart failure. And then there is dealing with the diabetes and insulin testing and shots.

And you will ALWAYS second-guess your decision. I know I have in the past.

when Honey was diagnosed with cancer, the vet gave us sound advice. You'll know when it is time. remember, quality over quantity. my heart aches, wondering did I pull the trigger to soon. My mind knows it was the right time.

I am off, I need to get around for and go to work. ugh
