    ...

Also, if we want to give smaller states a bit more elective power, okay, fine. We can keep the electoral college, because that's not the most egregious disenfranchiser of voters. Winner takes all is. And that certainly is not a requirement of a Republic.

States manage to get by with only two senators. Give 'em all two votes in the EC and let them award them proportionally if they so desire. Would it not be better for a politician to need to convince many and diverse states of their fitness for the office rather than just a few large populous ones. It just seems a bad idea that you can win in the EC but only carry 1/3 of the states

Regarding guns and 2A. Now's not the time to get laid back and lazy about it. Trump doesn't care about 2A. He doesn't.

If you want change, you need to press for it. Write to our local reps and senators. There's no reason for Trump to take any initiative on expanding gun rights, at all. Get to him before a shooting happens and he gets pressured by the Left.

Also be wary of any lame-duck last minute anti-gun pushes from Obama.

Yep, you've been so on on point with your analysis of what Trump is and isn't, what Trump will or won't do. Excuse me, I'll need to take that to the bank before they close!

If Trump wins his wife would be the first naturalized first lady (and second first lady born outside of the US).
That's the American dream right there, from immigrant to citizen to first lady.:patriot:

Of course the people who keep calling him racist won't mention that he married an immigrant.

They get hung up on the "illegal"
They don't believe in the difference
So if you are against illegal immigration, to them you are a "racist"

We need the EC, or something along those lines or else you get mob rule.

    We have a republican sweep.

It's time to redraw the districts and make sure we never end up with another obama or hillary ever again.

You don't think they wouldn't have done the same to us? Hah.

Loving the news about Trump narrowing the Latino gap with Clinton compared to Romney-Obama. (see Trump Did BETTER Than Romney Among Hispanics, And Blacks | The Daily Caller)

I think everyone on this board will be able to relate to this...

Imagine you show up at the Indy 1500 on a Friday and you have to wait 45 minutes in the heat/cold/rain and you are almost to the door. Then you see some Joe, or José in this case, walk right in and get waved through. He might have a weekend pass, be a vendor or a concession worker or have some other valid reason to "get away" with waltzing right into the show. Regardless, you are going to be like, "Yo ese, I've been in line for 45 minutes and you just walk right by me?" That is how many LEGAL immigrants from Latin countries feel when they see people wading across the Rio Grande or being brought in via various containers.

Yeah. you really did not miss much. She did not really concede to Trump. She just said basicly "sorry, we did not win".

Well, I'm betting she never played team sports, which teach you how you lose is as important as how you win. Since, over time, you do both.

Well, if we didn't have the EC, wouldn't Clinton have won?
    Trump 59,479,278
    Clinton 59,680,035

Expecting the exact turnout if the way we vote changes is not realistic. If it were by popular vote, probably many people who didn't vote would have.

And do we only support the EC because it gave us this win?
