How many people will actually believe that drivel? Too many.

You have to admit that such a blatant lie is brilliant strategy. The Marxist socialist-statists know that one way to marginalize is to attach spurious allegations of racism to anything or anyone they wish to impugn. They know too many people won't stand for the government running slipshod over the 2nd Amendment to make this go down as easy as they like, so presto-chango, they make it racist by asserting it is so.

Brilliant. Evil, unethical, immoral, and worse, but brilliant strategy because it works. Every time.

Does this article have any basis whatsoever in fact? If so, why am I just hearing about this? Or did he make up every single word as pure anti-2A propaganda?

This is typical Stalinist revisionism. Develop a spurious issue, and then assemble isolated snippets taken out of context to derive a "narrative". Since the historical discussion never took place, you can't disprove it, other than to attack its spurious pedigree. Which is confounded by the patchwork way it was constructed. Generally the statements used are apocryphal if not totally artificial. The fewer dates and footnotes the better.

The Kremlin was great at ginning up this sort of stuff under Uncle Joe the First to justify the next round of purges. The American Left is no stranger to the practice, just think of Michael Belisles.

History is a tool that contributes to the shaping of national identity, cultures, and memories. Through the study of history, individuals are imbued with a particular identity. By revising history, therefore, one has the ability to specifically craft that ideological identity. Because historians are credited as people who single-mindedly pursue truth, revisionist historians capitalize on the profession’s credibility and present their pseudohistory as true scholarship.

I read something like "blah blah blah 2 amendment blah slaves blah free State blah slaves blah blah blah Georgia patrol"

IMO it's a fictitious interpretation / manipulation of words.

Between crap like this article and Oliver Stone's Untold History of the US, I'd guess America was under full attack from the inside by Stalinists. Of course this is America, so that is just not possible.

I try to get a new word in before Kirk posts. I don't think he's online yet... :rockwoot:

Already this week we've been reintroduced to 'precatory', and for God's sake, don't anyone mention property, or we will be treated to a lecture on the concept of 'usufruct'.

Really now, he has to sleep sometime. I mean, what with battling SPECTRE, former agents of Smersh, the Gestapo, the KGB, plus Rhino and his minions, all whilst saving western civilisation from the insidious influence of international socialism, I don't know how he does it.

I used "spurious" first for the win!

Now I must hasten to my demesnes, for the agents of SMERSH mayhap be skulking about with ill-intent for all purple pachyderms.

Speaking of which, it speaks volumes that I read recently that even Oliver Stone is getting concerned over Obama's antics.

The basic argument that this moron makes, however, is analogous to observing that I drive my car when I go on vacation, therefore, vacationing was the real reason I bought a car.
