My garage is full of hand tools, power tools, woodworking equipment and items that my wife calls "useless crap". Plus I can park both vehicles inside my garage and still be able to do manly woodworking stuff inside.

I just wanted to share :)

I only have a total of 5 garage spaces.

    And no power tools. :(

If you decide to remove the damn sensor from the damn door on your damn garage so you can get your damn minivan in it you can't just remove the damn things.

On my installation I was too lazy to work out the necessary jumpers so I just taped the two transceivers together face to face with duct tape, wound up all the wire and tie wrapped the whole mess to the operator up at the ceiling. Or you can do it right and figure out how to jumper it for a neater installation.

    That's the rvb solution!

My nephew is a maintenance wizard at the factories where he was worked. I sent a text to him asking if he wants to tackle removing them and still making the system work.

Putting them together face to face and out of the way seems like the simplest and most cost effective solution. I might even be able to manage that task myself.

Keep the sensors where they are designed to mount. Switch the light source to the current receiver side and the receiver to the current light source side. As already well noted, the interlock circuit cannot determine where the system is located.

if A car could get in my garage, it would mean I don't live there anymore!

2-car detached garage at my place has her car and mine. Along with some of my "stuff." 1-car attached garage has the washer/dryer, my motorcycle, gun safe, and a lot more of my "stuff." The company truck that I take home sits in the driveway. Am I doing it right? :dunno:

Not sure how that would help because the sun hits one side in the morning and the other side in the afternoon.

Our garage has tools, misc junk, and my bike. If there's a car in there, it means I'm working on it and probably had to move a bunch of **** to make room.
