No new sketches to share. Cell signal has been a bit of an issue for us to communicate. He did post a few pictures the other day when he had wifi available so I can share those.

This was taken at Oktoberfest with some people he met. My son is on the left wearing the Lederhosen.

This is apparently the drink of choice for hiking. We told him not to fall off of any mountains or such things.

They found some interesting chairs to rest in. Yes...he is the one with the man bun. Grandpa keeps asking "what the hell is that knot on your head for?"

I enjoyed reading his blog Mom.

The only downside is that the text is grey and it's not easy to read ... you need to find the right angle with your computer screen.
Maybe it's just me.

I'll mention it to him. I know I sometimes have to move the screen around when reading it as well.

Bfish - I'm quite jealous of him right now. He is braver than I for sure! I still can't believe he just quit his job, moved out of his house (rental) and left, but he is having a great time. I love reading the blogs and messaging with him.

By the time he gets home, who knows what he would remember to share with me. This blog is great. I was the one who suggested he do the blog/facebook page to document the trip, and he has already thanked me multiple times. He has had great feedback from so many and is gaining followers all over the world (literally) as a result of the facebook page and the blog posts.

I don't recall where it was in europe, but we visited a whole museum dedicated just to chairs.

He is in Zurich, Switzerland and will be heading to Geneva next and then to France to meet up with one of the guys he traveled with while in Iceland last month.

I did this when I was fresh outta college too. Of course that was 35 years ago but it was one of the best times of my life. Glad for your son, I am sure he is really enjoying it and seeing the world at the same time. I even made it into the Eastern Bloc during the Cold War and traveled around it too. They assigned me a "traveling companion" though so I was a lot less free to go where I wanted but it was still educational and a whole lot of fun.
