The best part of Cincinnati moved to Kentucky. There is way more to do on the other side of the river. Downtown is littered with bums that will aggressively demand your cash. All the good hotels and attractions are in KY, just the other side of the bridge and the Cincy Zoo is in a war torn gang/drug turf so take your protection there seriously and get out way before it gets dark.

Jungle Jim's is always worth the stop and they usually have pretty good sales on alcohol.

Cincy also has a Pappadeaux restaurant which is the closest Pappa's restaurant to Indiana. All of the Pappa's restaurant I have been to are good but Pappadeaux is my favortite and if you like seafood or Cajun it is a must visit.

If you're at a good restaurant for breakfast, and if they have Goetta on the menu, I recommend it.

It's a great old Cincinnati/German dish, my favorite breakfast meal is Goetta and eggs over easy.

Go to the casino, and watch the bums clamor around picking up the discarded $.01 slot machine slips to cash in! With an adult beverage in hand, Good Times!

I’m planning a quick weekend trip late next month and was thinking about Cincinnati. I’m thinking of hitting the Newport Aquarium in the morning, but after that I’m not sure. What else is there to see that my wife would enjoy, i.e. not guns or military stuff.

    Any suggestions?
if you're going to the aquarium, check Groupon. Wife was browsing through it the other night and they had an annual membership for darn near half the price as a single visit.

Skyline for lunch and the Montgomery Inn Boathouse for dinner. The zoo is good. Red's game if you've never been to one.
B&B Riverboat dinner and cruise. They sometimes have specialty cruises and have a band play on the top deck. Those are pretty fun.

I was more referring to the way they make chili in Cincy. The local pubs called it skyline when I lived in Harrison. It was danged good stuff.
Cinnamon is the way they make chili in Cincy, and it’s WRONG! BUT, and there’s always a but, it is pretty good on those mini hot dogs covered in cheese and onions!
