I agree with Red. Prices will come down some, but it's kind of like remembering when gas was $1.00 a gallon and complaining about today's prices. QUOTE]

Don't you mean "When it went up to a dollar." ? I hated it when it went up to $.40!:xmad::rockwoot:For that matter, I hated it when it shot up to $.32!:xmad:

I love mine. Feinstein would have a heart attack over it if she saw it, it's all kinds of tacticool lol

No she wouldn't. She is fine with firearms of all classes including NFA as evidenced by the fact she owns them herself. She simply doesn't believe that we plebeians should have them.

Though the milk crisis has been averted, had it gone up to $7+ per gallon, I would still be buying it for myself and my 2 year old. Start reloading if its that big of a problem. I still reload for under $200 per k on 9mm, .45acp, and .223rem

Don't sell your stuff, you will regret it later. Promise ya that! I sold some of my rifles before due to ammo prices. Then realized it was a bad move, even if they just sit in the safe.

I just don't shoot for fun as much as I used to.

Keep your guns. You will probably regret it if you don't.

You will regret it, then have to re-buy again later. Probably for a much higher price.

Wise words. The gun doesn't cost you anything if you don't shoot it. I have sold *a lot* of guns and ended up replacing nearly all of them. Often at a loss.

I sold my AR. I broke my policy of "never selling a gun" but I will use the money to buy another or get into reloading.

I built mine because I wanted one and I thought I might try some multi-gun. I decided that multi-gun would not fit into my budget both from a firearms perspective(need shotgun and pistol), gear needs and cost of a match. So I have decided to look into other shooting sports that fit with my current firearm collection.

If a ban does not pass and prices come back down, I can always build another one. If a ban does pass, then I am out of luck.

Hang in there! We need all the help we can get right now. Support the 2A sign petitions, write your reps and we can and will win the day, and prices will come down again.

First, Welcome to INGO Scottie, drop by the Introduction thread and let everyone know a bit about yourself.

    Introductions and Greetings - INGunOwners

Second, you obviously purchased your Ruger and AR for a reason. Has that changed? If it's just ammo that is making you consider selling the AR then be paitent and wait out this crazy chaos and you will see ammo drop back to where it should be. Infact, I will bet there will be people selling off their inflated priced stuff cheap.

Just my thoughts, I don't own any guns, I just play a gun owner on the internet..

I just got into buying guns in October when I bought a SR9C and a rock river AR15. I have shot both guns twice and truthfully finding ammo for the AR that's not crazy overpriced or at all is almost impossible. I guess my question is will I ever be able to find steel ammo for .25 a round or brass for around .35 a round again?

Don't be discouraged. I really don't think there will be a gun or mag ban anytime soon. The hysteria will subside and prices will start to fall. If you're a new firearms owner, then this is something you just have to get used to. Once ammunition supplies return to normal, start stocking up when prices are lower, that way you're not in dire need of ammo when the next hysteria-induced shortage occurs.

For how much I plan on shooting it I dont think reloading is an option. I plan on shooting around 1500 rounds a year through this thing.

Kinda off topic but has anybody ever ordered ammo from Sportsman Guide?

I have, a couple years ago. No problems then.
