This has been a huge nothing-burger and I'm ok with that.

We had a male Mute. Huge animal. 2 female Husky's made up the group. Nothing escaped them unless it found a tree. The females would whine and yipe. The male would just post up and wait. I do miss all of them.

My current youngest is a Malamute-Boxer cross. (Both purebred parents who were not supposed to be together, but a six-foot fence isn't stopping a male Mute.) At just five months old, she's still a follower in the pack, so we'll have to see what her real personality is.

They really are a blessing. But I guess I've heard positive things about grandchildren, too, so I understand your situation.
