If it quacks like a duck. Curious where the daylight is between white nationalism and the view that slaves should have been sent back to africa and non white immigrants should be shipped to their own new country...
As long as we have mentally ill sleeping/ing in the streets....Wounded warriors depending on charity to survive....Hungry children...….We have no room for anybody not of this country. Period.
We need to get our own house in order 1st. No more. None.
^^^THIS^^^The issue is, and has always been, that people hop the border and live here illegally and cause all manner of problems because they fall into a crack in the legal system. Even in my own family we've seen it: get into a wreck, fella speaking rapidfire spanish literally drives off before we can get a license plate number or the cops arrive. Cop arrives, basically shrugs, guesses he's illegal and even if he was here couldn't do anything about it.
Here's the thing though: swap my story around and have it be a dude so white he glows and speaking rapidfire quebec-french and I like the story no more or less. The difference is that Canada has not yet become a worthless craphole like most of South and Central America apparently must be if literally climbing mountains to get here is ultimately worth it. Thus, I have no glowing white quebec-french guy crashing into my family and then driving off. If the swedish olympic figureskaters try to dance their way across either border they can be deported too, in favor of allowing the legitimate Mexican, Guatemalan, Cuban, Iranian whoever who actually signed the documents and did the proper thing to get in here. But that's never the discussion, because Tyson and Walmart need their $2 a week slaves to pick their carrots and harvest their chickens so it needs to always be "you hate the brown people".
There's a distinction to be made between "no more people from abroad who will be a burden on society" and "no more immigration". Most immigrants come here with a work ethic and a desire to apply it to the opportunities here. Capitalism is dynamic where the product is greater than the sum of it's parts--provided we can limit gov't meddling/crony-capitalismHonestly could just end the thread there. Not bringing race or anything else into this, but I'm in agreement that we don't need any more immigrants in this country, legal or otherwise, until we've addressed numerous issues that persist for our own citizens. We're not the world's babysitter or nanny. We do not have any obligation to take in refugees or anyone else, at least until we address our own woes.

I think the US Constitution is what set us apart. Most anywhere else you go, the best gov't you can find is western European style "socialism lite" where the gov't defines the "common good" and everybody is expected to get with the program. If people really like it here and want to come here why the hell are not more places like here
It's not just the "capitalist oligarchs". There's an unholy alliance between the chamber-of-commerce wing of the GOP and the DNC who both want an open border.I have always thought this is a substantial root of the racism charge being leveled against Trump.
Let's suppose for the sake of discussion that you are the "Capitalist Oligarchy," you rely on cheap labor, and have been getting your way in Washington the past 25 years on trade and immigration policies. Let's further suppose that something dramatic happens in 2016, and you suddenly find these policies being scrutinized and refuted by a political upstart who is willing to expose, demagogue, and ride these issues with his middle class supporters.
Q: Do you want this to ignite an open and detailed public debate about how your trade and immigration policies?
Or...would you rather just chalk-up that political upstart's success to "racism" and "holding up" and "pandering to" racist elements in society?
The answer is just pure common business sense. You don't want to have a public debate about policies that benefit you, but crush the middle class. So you go with racism.

Read my post. t is the one he is referencing. It states that until we have our house in order no more. No more immigrants. Once we are taking care of our own then we can open a "FEW" doors and vette the best of the crop who want to come here. We are at a boiling point in this country. We need to turn that heat down. Now.
Crap, I posted.
I just don't see the conflict between getting our house in order and admitting immigrants who are able and willing to help build and improve this country instead of taking advantage of benefits. I don't think the issue is simple enough to be "either-or". For example, I'm not arguing against giving preference to hiring or educating US citizens and then allowing immigration according to some quota based on unfilled jobs.Read my post. t is the one he is referencing.
