Please pass this on to all the other retired guys and gun owners...Thanks
From a Vietnam Vet and retired Police Officer:
I had a doctors appointment at the local VA clinic yesterday and found out
something very interesting that I would like to pass along.
While going through triage before seeing the doctor, I was asked at the
end of the exam, three questions:
    1. Did I feel stressed?
    2. Did I feel threatened?
    3. Did I feel like doing harm to someone?
The nurse then informed me, that if I had answered yes to any of the
questions, I would have lost my concealed carry permit as it would have
gone into my medical records and the VA would have reported it to
    Homeland Security.
Looks like they are going after the vets first. Other gun people like retired law
enforcement will probably be next. Then when they go after the civilians, what
argument will they have? Be forewarned and be aware.
The Obama administration has gone on record as considering veterans and
    gun owners potential terrorists. Whether
you are a gun owner veteran or not, YOU"VE BEEN WARNED !
If you know veterans and gun owners, please pass this on to them. Be very
cautious about what you say and to whom

Sorry, that was idea Janet tried to get into law, didn't work due to the outrage. Only works is the individual is adjudicated.

And I thought it was bad back in 73 when returning to the U.S. from the Vietnam war when they told us not to wear our uniforms off base because the protestors would spit on us. I thought they were kidding. They weren't. At least we weren't classified as psycho killer mutant gun freaks. The way veterans are treated I can hardly understand why anyone would join up anymore.

    1. Did I feel stressed? Nope, shooting is a great stress reliever. ;)
    2. Did I feel threatened? :dunno: Why would I, I'm carrying a gun.
    3. Did I feel like doing harm to someone? Nah, I prefer to stay to myself clinging to my guns. :D

+1 Something very similar (maybe exactly the same) was posted over on "Cast Boolits" a year or two back so that bogus info has been floating around for a while. I'm sure we will be finding a lot more blatant b.s. in our e-mail boxes as we get closer to the elections.

I always assume patients are lying to me anyway. 3 in one shift alone that I caught 2 days ago trying to get pain meds. Ugh.

Older males are the most likely to successfully
Commit suicide and good questions to try to catch them in the depressed state.

Even if it were true, how does admitting some stress actually a diagnosis? Glad its BS, and I will leave it at that.

Those questions are not the basis for a diagnosis. They are used as an indicator that a particular Veteran might benefit from treatment for a "less-than-obvious" condition. :patriot:

    Hiding from reality
If the ops post was truth, I would have DEFINATELY been raided by now. BUT, I will say that after my last tour, I was delayed on three purchases, and other guys I know had the same problems.
    :tinfoil: Foil hat, anyone?

Yes, they ask me those questions here in Indianapolis at the VA too, funny, I have a prosthetics apt today at 13:30, they wont ask crap there other than "How do your shoe inserts feel", but on occasion if I go to one of the clinics about once a year they ask those same questions, and "do you smoke"? "Do you drink"? "What level is your pain today"? The VA "IS" the USA's # 1 drug dealer, albiet "legally", I have seen parking lot deals as Vet A, gives his med to Vet B or (name your own addict), for a fee of course. But getting back to the OP, I know Vets who have a PTSD rating, who get NCIS "DELAYED" back repeatedly with no criminal history, because even though non adjudicated the VA has sent their name and ssn# to a **** list somewheres.
Funny it was gunplay that got them the PTSD rating in the first place...........back when Uncle let us OC and shoot at moving targets overseas?!?

Any Vet out there with a PTSD rating who never gets delayed when you buy a firearm?
